Recently, Elon mask has eliminated the employees who have been working from home. Since it is done with a statement that working from home actually doesn't work.

The statement provided shows overconfidence of Elon Musk to move forward with his personal ideas to be implemented on the platform of Twitter.

It seems like Elon Musk is overconfident enough for Twitter to be the first priority of the users to have authentic and reliable accounts to post statements. It is the place where big personalities, including teachers, politicians, actors, and others, make their official statements.

Let's look at Nokia's failure from this angle. In the 1990s, it was the company with the most hair on the market. However, due to the decline in the sell, it is now fighting for the remaining 1% of the shares.

Major Reasons for Nokia's Downfall and Comparison with Twitter

  • Change in the Top Management: Jorma Ollila was succeeded as CEO in 2006 by Olli-Pekka Kallasvuo. The new management combined Nokia smartphones with standard phone functions, putting more of an emphasis on conventional phones than on experimenting with cutting-edge technology.
  • Similar to how Twitter changed its top management after selling itself to Elon Musk. Elon Musk decided to make the announcement of the top management changes for a variety of reasons. It is crucial to emphasise that, despite the possibility of any reason for changing the management, Twitter has been the top choice for the majority of individuals looking for the most dependable and secure platform to communicate ideas, news, and announcements.
  • Arrival of New Companies: Apple entered the smartphone market in 2007 and released the enduring iPhone. Apple was not perceived by Nokia as a threat to their impressive sales figures. Considering that Apple phones use 2G technology whereas Nokia mobiles use 3G, it also deemed them inferior. Google unveiled the Android operating system in 2008. (OS).
  • Apple's iOS was already gaining popularity at this point, and its sales were rising steadily. Nokia should have migrated to Android to combat the threat, but instead, it kept producing phones running the dated Symbian OS.
  • Of course, new social media platforms are emerging to compete with Twitter. It is impossible to say from history that such Twitter behaviour won't have an effect on users' minds.
  • When a platform is replaced in this cutthroat era, it will never again hold the same position it once did. For this reason, it is crucial to consider Twitter's reputation in users' minds as time goes on. As users' accounts have been permanently banned for a variety of reasons, this is also having a greater impact on Twitter's move away from users' approach.

Is Twitter repeating history like Nokia?

After such behaviour from the user, it's possible that it won't have the importance and popularity among users that it once did. Because when it does, it won't be useful for even new users to at least trust the platform in the long run, and it might even see a decline in the market and reduce its market shares like Nokia did.

In order to have the management's overconfidence in the platform, it is thereby repeating historical patterns. Elon Musk will have difficulties due to having too much money to spend. However, for those employees who have been with the company for a while, it's time to consider user preferences and make Twitter usable for users rather than prioritising banning users and acting rudely.

It cannot be said that working from home is ineffective. because working from home is not practical, the declaration of resource confidence for those who lack the efficiency to keep up a consistent routine and an efficient process. On the other hand, even those who work in the department can be dumb enough to complete the task quickly and ineffectively.

Again, it demonstrates Nokia's strategy of not trusting its employees and instead hiring incompetent workers to cater to the new generation of social media users. When Nokia introduced the Windows phone at the time, its marketing strategy was ineffective in drawing customers. On the other hand, Apple and Samsung showed good confidence by putting the needs of the users before their own ideas.

The management of the pivotable had to effectively consider the work it is doing because it is not just concerned with the company's reputation. But if the market declines, it will be the workers' financial support that will be used.
